Motivation for better performance

Where do you find motivation? It's a necessary ingredient of any exercise program, but can prove remarkably elusive at times.

Different people find motivation in different places. Sometimes there are external sources of motivation - your doctor has told you to lose weight, or you're going to a wedding soon and can't fit into your new dress.

Other times the motivation can come from within - your own desire to get in shape or be healthier, or maybe a race that you've chosen to enter.

Either way, you can maintain it by setting achievable goals for yourself, and rewarding yourself as you tick off the milestones.
