Yoga teacher career opportunities

Working as a yoga teacher you will instruct people in a technique that can trace its roots back over 7,000 years. This gentle form of exercise is a great way to improve flexibility and aid relaxation.

More on being a yoga teacher...

Training as a yoga teacher can be a lengthy process, but this is a form of exercise that has been popular in Britain for over 30 years, so demand is only likely to increase.

Yoga teachers instruct people on the techniques of yoga, including the positions (asanas), breathing, meditation and visualisation. There are many different styles, with Hatha yoga the most widely taught in the UK.

Qualification involves having practised yoga for some time with a qualified teacher, and obtaining a recognized teaching qualification.
