Skills & interests advice

When applying for jobs, listing your skills and interests can be a good way to enhance your CV - but what you put will say a lot about you, so think carefully.

A good CV includes a section on your skills and interests - but what is this for, and what should you put in it?

When you are at the beginning of your career, listing your skills and interests is important - it is likely that your professional experience and education are to be limited, so other areas of your CV become more important.

What you include should be honest, but also needs to consider the job, and what you want to say about yourself. This is not the time to list your considerable drinking abilities, but rather to focus on some more cerebral activities, particularly those that might be relevant to the job.
