Interview skills for fitness job

Some people think that interview skills are nothing more than turning up and being your usual charming self - but there's a lot more than that if you really want to get a job.

Good interview skills are the difference between being 'in with a chance' and actually getting the job. Indeed, how you look and behave at an interview will often be even more important than what you actually say.

With most jobs involving standard questions that all candidates will answer, your interview skills are increasingly important. Appearance and body language will say far more about you that the standard answer to a question.

Important points to remember include:

  • Limit logos or designer name clothing - this is not the time to be showing off your wardrobe
  • Make good eye contact
  • Sit still and avoid fidgeting
  • Answer questions calmly and confidently
